Bacton Hill Bible Church
We are committed to serving the Lord Jesus Christ in all areas of our lives, but
"missions" in the local church can be a sometimes confusing and complex area of
ministry! We, at Bacton, are making it very simple to be involved in missions...
locally as well as cross-culturally.
The Missions Committee of BHBC meets monthly to determine the ministry needs and
ministry areas that are important to our congregation. The Missions Chairperson is
Amy Shaw; Treasurer: Allyn Greeney; Secretary: Norma Hendrickson; Committee
members: Bob DiAddezio and Pastor Jeff Sherwood.
Bacton is currently financially and prayerfully supporting thirteen missionaries and three organizations. Many in our congregation have had the great opportunity to serve the Lord on short-term ministry trips. We would like missions involvement to become a natural outflow of our congregation, and be a natural part of everyone's lifestyle. We strive to do this by encouraging involvement with our missionaries and their families, prayer, giving, going on short-term trips, and education through conferences and weekly missions information each Sunday.

The Bible speaks clearly as to our responsibilities to reach the world with
the gospel:
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have
commanded you; and lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:19-20
With such a clear mandate from the Word, Bacton Hill Bible Church is committed
to not only reaching our community and county, but also to investing in the
lives of those who are serving the Lord in our country and around the world.
Our Missionary responsibilities reflect 30% of our total church budget and
help support missionaries in the United States and seven foreign countries.

We use Planet Green to supplement the funding of our missions activities. If you have any used ink cartridges, used toner cartridges or old cell phones, please bring them to the missions display in the church foyer. Thanks!
